HOW TO ENTER :

- Download the REMIX PACK
- Remix must be in the Drum & Bass genre (not breaks or dubstep)
- Submit your remix before Friday, 12:00 AM EST, July 30, 2010 (”Deadline”)
- Remix must be submitted in 16 bit / 44.1 Khz .wav format using sendspace.com or a similar file sending service addressed to admin at breakbeatenergy dot com with the words “Hung So Low Remix Contest” in the subject line
- Any and all promotions distributed by Contestant should clearly list yourself as the remixer, soundFLUX as the artist (i.e. Hung So Low (Your Name Remix) – soundFLUX) and be accompanied by a link to http://www.breakbeatenergy.com/ver5/current
- One (1) Winner shall be chosen by BreakBeat Energy Records and the Winner shall be announced on Monday, 07:00 AM EST, August 02, 2010 at BreakBeat Energy Record and RemixComps on BreakBeat Energy Records’ account profile page
- Winner shall have their remix released with soundFLUX’s original mix of “Hung So Low” on BBE013EP approximately August 23, 2010.

PRIZE :
- One (1) Winner shall be chosen by BreakBeat Energy Records and the Winner shall be announced on Monday, 07:00 AM EST, August 02, 2010 at BreakBeat Energy Records and RemixComps on BreakBeat Energy Records’ account profile page
- Winner shall have their remix released with soundFLUX’s original mix of “Hung So Low” on BBE013EP approximately August 23, 2010 to be distributed world-wide
- Winner shall receive promotion services for the release to run in conjunction with and in support of the promotion efforts provided by the Winner
- Winner shall receive an interview opportunity with RemixComps.com and the interview shall be hosted on the RemixComps.com blog courtesy of RemixComps.com

TERMS AND CONDITIONS :
The following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the Remix Contest (”Contest”). By submitting a remix (”Remix”) of Hung So Low (”Track”) You (”Contestant / Contestants’ “) agree to be bound by the Terms so please read through them carefully first.
1. BreakBeat Energy Records (”Operator”) will make available various elements or parts of the Track (“Stems”) for Contestant to download, remix and submit in the Contest.
2. The Contest is a competition in that the Winning Remix (”Winner”) chosen by Operator will be released along with the original mix of Track in August of 2010. The approximate day of the release will be announced when the Operator chooses a Winner.
a. the deadline to submit Remix is Friday, 12:00 AM EST, July 30, 2010.
3. Contestant therefore agrees, confirms, warrants and represents that:
a. all rights in and to any Remix of the original sound recording of the Track created by Contestant shall vest in and be owned by Operator. This means Label shall be entitled at all times to the sole right of production, reproduction, exploitation and sale in any media and in any form,
b. to the extent necessary, and with full title guarantee Contestant hereby assigns all rights and interests in and to the Remix whether present or future to Operator absolutely through the world for the full period of copyright therein and all renewals and extensions thereof (insofar as is permissible by law) in perpetuity.
c. Contestant understands that submitting a Remix does not entitle Contestant to any rights in respect of the underlying composition of the Track,
d. Contestant will not use any illegal (i.e.uncleared) samples in the Remix. This means no sampling of copyright recordings and no re-playing of copyright compositions (melody/lyrics),
e. the Remix shall not be obscene, defamatory, libellous, threatening, harassing, hateful or violate any law,
f. Contestant will not use or distribute the Stems or Remix or Track for any purpose other than to create the Remix,
g. Contestant participates in the Contest at Contestants’ own risk and agrees to indemnify Operator and any subsidiaries against all costs, claims, damages and liabilities arising from Contestants’ own actions in any way in connection with the Contest or a breach of Contestants’ obligations,
h. Contestant must be over 13 years old. Do not participate in the Contest if younger than 13 years old,
i. Void where prohibited or restricted.
4. Operator shall have no obligation to accept, post, distribute or otherwise use Remix.
5. These Terms represent the entire agreement between Operator and Contestant relating to the Contest.
6. These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with United States Law.

Description

Join the Aveda Institute Washington DC students in raising money for Earth Month 2010.

They are holding a hair and fashion show at Josephine, an upscale lounge in the heart of DC.

DC Fashion Week’s PhillyGurl” will be showcasing her apparel, while hair and makeup will be created by talented Aveda students.

The night will include soundFLUX spinning house and international rhythms, a silent auction and of course, drink specials!

Tickets are $20, and can be purchased at Aveda institute location: 713 7th St NW, Washington DC 20001 (metro: Gallery Place/Chinatown) or at the door.

All proceeds will benefit the POTOMAC CONSERVANCY, a local organization devoted to keeping our water clean. For more information on their cause, please visit www.potomac.org or www.aveda.com.
