Originally hailing from Florida, Bounder relocated to the DC/ Baltimore area in 2005 along with a massive collection of tracks spanning an amazing spectrum of sub genres within the universe of electronic music. While growing up on a steady diet of Florida Breaks, Bounder always had a deep appreciation for all forms of House, Progressive Trance, Techno, Drum & Bass (mostly ambient) and also Downtempo…
Bounder drew deep inspiration from regular attendance at legendary nights @ The Edge, Firestone and many other clubs & parties far too numerous to mention. The 90’s in Florida provided electronic music fans with the cream of the crop of domestic & international DJ’s & Producers in turn spawning a massive influx of young talent which is unparalleled even in many big cities.
While Bounder held small residencies and played many events of different sizes (under different monikers), he soon realized he was surrounded by a surplus of polished, original DJ’s. While he was quick to hone his DJing skills, he found himself often playing very forward thinking 4/4 tracks, many of which were not the flashes in the fire many promoters thought were necessary at the time. Having played drums he knew production was his true calling – so he started the arduous path to buying the gear & teaching himself to create quality tracks that would transcend established genres………stay tuned!
